Just for those that aren't aware, it is possible to "reverse" VQ engine intake manifolds...

It does however make the throttle body impossibly high, even on my car it's a full 30mm to high to fit under my scoop...

It could be quite useful for conversions with a lot of clearance though... A lot cheaper than modifying the manifold or buying a custom plenum for different intake options 8-)

You can also mill the underside of the upper half of the plenum to get it lower but it will make the runner length shorter and you will lose some bottom to mid range torque

Unfortunately we have very little space up front anyway, so anything higher than stock is usually a massive disadvantage.

The one nisfab posted with the front TB looks really nice, but i doubt it does anything for out space issue.

the one the 260z guy made looks good for clearance.
